Thanks to Annie Hanson for providing us with a picture of our second 1-2 women's slalom podium!  Laurel on the top step for her senior year home carnival and Geordie by her side in second.  Great Job Ladies!

Also shout out to Sarah for her best result ever with a 7th place in the GS!  Annie with her best finish of the season, at 10th in slalom from bib 39! 5 women in the top 18 for slalom!  Awesome!  Geordie on the podium for both days - a 3rd in GS.  And Laurel ringing in with an 11th in the GS and Shannon claiming 14th place.  Way to put on a show for the home crowd!

And great work to Victor, making top 30 in both events, 28th in slalom and 25th in GS!  Way to take advantage of opportunities!  And Nic, great work stomping into the second run and finishing 37th in the SL and Whitney for also holding down team scores, finishing in 46th.

Opening Ceremonies Show

I will do a post as soon as I get a chance about our wonderful winter carnival. It was a lot of fun, thanks to all of our racers, volunteers and alumni! And great performances by the womens' team and Victor don't hurt either. Also, I heard the forrunners were ripping out there so nice work.

Top Two Steps

Eph Women take the top two steps on the podium in today's slalom!  Laurel was leading after first run, with Geordie on her heels in second.  It was a race between teammates for the victory which ended with Geordie in first, for her second podium of the weekend.  They both ripped out there so awesome job, ladies!  Sarah backed them up with a personal best of 10th place (4th place second run) to help them claim the team win!  Great teamwork out there!  Pretty fun!

After UVM GS

Great day of racing for day 1, the GS of the UVM carnival.  Highlights were 3 top 35 runs from Sean, Victor and Dylan on the mens side.  Sarah and Shannon were top 25 and Geordie landed another podium with a 3rd. 

The day ended with a wonderful dinner, hosted by the Leiters.  Thank you so much!
