Group shots from up in Maine (thanks Shannon!)

The Williams skiers faired pretty well at Sugarloaf.  Result highlights were Victor's 9th place college result in GS and Shannon's 4th place GS alongside and 8th place in slalom.  Dylan Thomas laid down a smoking second run in the slalom, putting his place in the 20s.  Christoph backed up the team with finishes around 30th.

Sugarloaf Colby Carnival (a bit late, I will admit)

Alumn!! Hey Jim (recent dog rescuer [while nordic skiing] - way to go!)

Sunny Days

Some photos to remind us that, while this winter has been  extremely cold, it is beautiful and we have even seen some sun from time to time!

Some beautiful flowers the women's team gave me on my birthday (along with a delicious raspberry chocolate cake... holy COW - that was good).

Whitetail Training Days

Have had a couple of awesome training days on Whitetail.  Thanks to this non-white stuff falling from the sky these days and the cold temps at night, the surface has been pretty remarkable.

We are headed to Maine tonight - looking to run a few GS gates on way to Sugarloaf.  See you all at Colby!

Stowe Carnival 2014

The sun came out for run two of the Stowe Carnival GS.  The track was ROCK SOLID.

Womens Highlight:  Shannon ran  mid 20s.  She left the start with a statement and wound up fifth after the first run.  After a good inspection and a delightful lunch and some (light) reading, she came around and rocked it again, securing herself a fifth place for the day.  That is her best finish to date.  Congratulations, Shannon - you nailed it.

Highlights for the men:  Victor, starting bib 73 made it in the flip after first run.  Matt and Dylan (with similar bibs) weren't too far out of it.  Now, as I mentioned the snow was hard.  There was a lot of opportunity for anyone to make a move.

Victor threw down a good run, keeping him in top 30.  Dylan followed with a smoking 17th place run inching his way right in front of Mr Vic.  Matt heard the report from the bottom - he knew he had some opportunities here and went for it too, coming down right behind those two guys.

It was an awesome day - we were psyched for slalom to roll around but unfortunately mother nature wasn't having any of that and we put of the slalom for a better day -
