Burke Day 1

Sometimes being a ski racer means throwing on your sunscreen in South America and heading up the tee-bar to grab some turns.  Some days it means braving solidly sub zero temperatures in northern Vermont.  This day was one of those days.  Temps on the hill were ten below, Fahrenheit.  But hats off to Burke's new fast lift - lapping in extreme weather on the ancient low speed quad is not something I am hurrying to get back to (I was a Burkie not too long ago...).  The Williams athletes let their character and toughness shine through as they made lap after lap on this frigid day.

And once we got on our training lane, it was all focus.  A beautiful day in the Northeast Kingdom.

The poma and the hill provides something special for the training.  Thank you to Burke for allowing us to take advantage of this place.
