Dartmouth Carnival

Just got back from a very nice weekend at Dartmouth.  We had sun, great results and quality time at the Fireside Inn (their dining room seems like a jungle... its very exotic).

We had one exciting moment when we had to adjust Gabby's bindings at the start when she was a few people out - as they were adjust for Merritt (I didn't ask)!  But this was no problem for Gabby as she managed two solid runs.

Our ladies scorers for the day were Shannon, Sarah and Paige (who turned it up a bit for second run!). Shannon got to run bib 1, but did not bend to the pressure, throwing down a sixth place college result.  She just keeps coming on strong.  Very fun to see.

The men had one of the denser fields I have ever seen, with leftovers from NorAm guys hanging around the east coast.  They all wanted a piece of the EISA Circuit.  But our guys did very well in the GS, with Christoph and Victor coming in 20th and 21st and Matt placing 34th (all for college).  Vic had a bit of a stumble out of the start second run so I know he will be coming into Jiminy looking to make up for that this weekend.

Shannon woke up a bit under the weather for Saturday's slalom so she ran a very minimalist race day but when it was go time, she went and pulled off another sixth place college finish, solidifying her spot in the top seed.  Sarah backed her up with a 19th finish (has been also on the minimalist program for similar reasons for this entire season) for college and she had a very good second run.  Gabby was our third scorer for the day, hanging tough so great work there.

Dylan had a smoking first run in the slalom but unfortunately did not managed to stay in second run.  He will be looking for some vengeance on our home hill next week as well.  Christoph had two very good runs, placing him in 20th for college.  A very good weekend for Christoph. Victor and Charlie pulled through with finishes so good work there.

We had a different photographer this week, as John joined us over at the Big Green School so thanks for snapping a few shots, John (except for the top photo - that one's mine!)
